Photo of the Week 84

Photo of the Week 84
Today is so exciting.  It's Friday again.  This means that you get to finally see what Cramer Imaging's choice for "Photo of the Week" is for this week.  We have selected to feature this beautiful just opening apple blossom photograph this week.

I found a wealth of flowers blooming in the backyard and just had to pull out my camera again and again and again.  I kept getting beautiful shots and the flowers kept coming.  I decided to turn my attention to those flowers which bloom on fruit trees.  They are some of the most delicate blooms out there.

The apple trees were blooming so I decided to try for those.  It can be difficult to get just the right flower and just the right angle.  After scouting for the right flower, I happened upon this one.  I also tried a few different flowers at varying stages of openness just in case.

The sky was wonderfully cloudy that day which yielded the best possible light for this shot.  With my tripod, I was guaranteed the stability I needed for this picture.

I needed my macro lens in order to get this close in shot because of the size of the flower.  Apple flowers are not that big.  The soft focus in the background was just what I wanted for isolating this flower in the composition.
