Fiery and Frosty Teton Mountains

Fiery and Frosty Teton Mountains
It's been a really long winter.  There's been a ton more snow than usual.  This has hampered my photographic efforts so quickly this year.  Well, the snow is melting off thanks to a thaw.  The roads are clearing and becoming safe again.  It's time for me to dust off the camera and get back to work while there's still some snow to photograph.  Here's the first from this year.

The snow has been disappearing around Pocatello which makes winter photos, especially landscape photos, much more difficult to generate right now.  I had to head north and up to get more snow.  Well, that's just what I did a couple days ago.

Cramer Imaging's professional quality landscape photograph of the Teton mountains and a cabin at sunset during winter

I felt that I needed to add some more local flavor to my portfolio.  I wanted another shot at the Teton mountain range.  I've shot landscape photos of it before but not during winter.

Driving up to the mountains showed that my target location was perfect.  It's still covered in snow but the roads are open and safe to drive on.  This meant finding the perfect spot to set up the tripod and waiting until sunset for that magic golden hour light.

With this beautiful setting, perfect light, and cozy-looking cabin in the foreground, this beautiful landscape photograph was born.  The fire in the sky is matched by the chill of the snow on the ground.  It's a fire and ice contrast bundled up with an iconic mountain range.  It's a great portfolio addition.  We hope you enjoy it.  Please leave your thoughts in the comments section.
