The Curiosity of Cows

The Curiosity of Cows
Last week, we had the chance to take an outdoors excursion.  We decided to bring the camera along because we never know when the perfect shot will drop right in front of us.  We must be prepared for this to happen.  Well, it happened last Friday.  Here's how we found this shot.

We drove down to Downey, Idaho.  It's a little town which is mostly a farming community.  It's big enough to have its own freeway exit and gas station, but not much else.

Thanks to the abnormally large snowfall this past winter and the rain this spring, the area is extra green right now.  It makes for some beautiful viewing and photography if you know where to go.

We turned off the road and checked out this pasture because I liked the view behind it.  The snow-capped peak in the background really was the crowning touch to a beautiful landscape scene.  All I had to do was to capture a photo of it and I thought I would be done.

These cows became very curious as I approached the fence and started to compose my shot.  They came out for a quick peek.  I managed to capture the shot of them all looking directly at my camera at the same time with a beautiful landscape and sunset to frame them.  It was well worth the trip.
